CHARTER TERMS

Terms may vary and the charter agreement should be referred to in specific cases. Please read the terms and conditions of the contract carefully beofre signing it.

MYBA TERMS (MEDITERRANEAN YACHT BROKERS ASSOCIATION) :

The charter rate includes the hire and insurance of the yacht, crew wages, crew food and ships laundry only.

WMT (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN TERMS) : 

The charter rate includes the hire and insurance of the yacht and crew wages. The charterer will be charged for all other expenses including fuel, food, beverages, berthing charges, port taxes, charges for water and electricity used from the shore, laundry, and communication costs. 

EMT (EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN TERMS) :

The charter rate includes the hire and insurance of the yacht, crew wages, crew food, ship's laundry, all running expenses such as fuel for a specified number of cruising hours per day, harbor and berthing dues, breakfast and lunch. The charterer will be charged for fuel for the tenders, dinner on board, soft and alcoholic drinks, laundry, communication costs as well as local taxes.

GT (GREEK TERMS) :

The charter rate includes the hire and insurance of the yacht, crew wages and food, harbor dues within Greek waters, water and ship's laundry.The charterer will be charged for fuel, meals, drinks, communication costs and taxes.

CTI (CARIBBEAN TERMS INCLUSIVE) :

The charter rate includes the hire and insurance of the yacht, crew wages, crew food, ship's laundry, fuel for four hours cruising per day and three meals a day but excludes soft and alcoholic drinks, local taxes, communication costs and dockage.

CHARTER AGREEMENT :

All charters booked will be confirmed by a charter agreement, signed by the charterer and the yacht owner or representative along with the payment of the charter.

Having signed the contract, the charterer will be asked for a deposit - usually 50% of the charter fee - and the balance is due usually 30 days in advance of the charter.

 

CHARTER RATES :

Rates shown are for guidance only and are subject to change.

TAXES :

Charter rates will be subject to varying rates of VAT within EC waters. VAT is not included in the charter rates on the price guides. Local Taxes may also occur in certain places outside the EC.

FUEL :

Charterers should note that only certain flag vessels qualify for duty free fuel. This varies from country to country.
